Northeast Clovis reads differently. Out past Shepherd toward Locan and Temperance, newer tracts sit right up against open ground, and what arrives there is a swarm in transit rather than a colony already settled. Those are the good calls: a clustered ball of bees on a young tree, a block wall cap, a patio umbrella, a trailer hitch. They usually have not committed to anything yet, and caught in the first day or two the whole job is a box, a brush, and a short drive. Wait a week and it becomes a wall job.
